Upcoming Events (July)

Tuesday 19th May – Thursday 2nd July: TPGCo Adventures begin! We (Nick & Hannah) are off on a research tour throughout Germany, particularly the state of Baden-W├╝rttemberg and the city of Berlin (with a side trip to London) where we’ll explore German trends and traditions, particularly in small-space, sustainable and school gardens, and bring the knowledge learnt back home to Australia. In the mean-time, feel free to keep an eye on our social media (facebook, twitter and instagram) and should you wish to place an order, you can still do so via our online shop and it’ll be posted by our staff.

Thursday 2nd July: Our first stop on our way home from Germany is Sydney where we’ll be launching National Tree Day with a giant ‘smiley face’ vertical garden within a nature playground setup at Circular Quay! This year’s theme is ‘Grow Happy’ and by collaborating with Mel Neist of Sow What? we have created the happiest vertical garden around! Using strikingly yellow marigolds for the smiley face, we’re also proud to announce that the green wall’s second home will be at food rescue charity, OzHarvest’s headquarters, to enrich the lives of all folks there!

Sunday 19th July: Adelaide’s premier fashion and design market, the Gilles Street Market, is on again and this time they’re getting kitted out with our rental Cable Spool Tables and Crate Seats. Come along, shop to your heart’s desire and rest awhile on our rental furniture as you soak up the atmosphere. Stalls open 10-am-4pm, Gilles Street Primary School, Adelaide.

Monday 27th July: Our favourite food rescue charity OzHarvest is the official Australian partner of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and part of the UNEP global campaign against food waste, Think.Eat.Save. We’re super excited to not only be providing their fundraising tool, the interactive ‘Garden of Goodness’ but TPGCo’s Nick Thwaites will also be part of a panel discussion about food sustainability issues and solutions, along with MC Keith Conlon (aka Mr South Australia), chef & author Simon Bryant, chef Tze Khaw (National Wine Centre), Richard Gunner (Feast Fine Foods), and OzHarvest State Manager Hayley Everuss. Come and along to be part of this discussion, make your own pledge to reduce food waste, and enjoy the FREE lunch being served up to 1500 members of the public by chefs and food personalities to raise awareness of the Think.Eat.Save campaign. Find us at the University of Adelaide Goodman Lawns, North Terrace, between 11.30am and 2.30pm.
Update: OzHarvest volunteer driver and journalism student Simon Delain wrote about the event – read it here.
